Hip-Horray for...

...Daniel!!!! Yesterday he was named Biology Student of the Year at the college he is attending!!! (Kellogg Community College) We are so proud of him. (If you can't tell :0)
Anyway, I just wanted to share this bit of exciting news with you...

Phoebe's Birthday is today!!!

9 years ago today was a very happy day in the Smithie home. Phoebe Joanna was born!!!!AKA Kitten, she has been a delightful "friend" to have around our home.

I wish you all could join us for dinner. The menu is: Scalloped potatoes with ground beef added to them, corn, and a tossed salad. For dessert, Phoebe will have an Italian Cream Cake and we are trying our hand at Lemon Sherbet and Maple Pecan Ice Cream.

Last summer we went to a Steve Green concert. In looking through pictures recently, i came across these and though that I would share them with my bloggin' (is that a word?) friends. The concert was awesome, and we all were so blessed by the way that God was glorified that night. Enjoy the pictures...

Happy Birthday once more...

Today we celebrate the birth of my dear wife, Lori. In God's providence, He brought us together first as friends (1980), then as brother and sister in Christ (1984), then as partners in the Gospel as husband and wife (1986). I am thankful today for her life, and bless her for her faith toward God, and love for me and our children. I pray that every day of every new year that our Lord gives her would be fruitful in every way, and she would continue to be a channel for the wondrous grace of our Lord Jesus to every life she touches. I love you Momma. Will you marry me?
